Playdate at Bella's House

In early April, we went to Tad's friends house - Bella - for a playdate. She has a great backyard and the kids loved it! Liam has hit his adventurous stage here and was crawling all over the backyard.
Liam enjoying his lunch.
The big hit was the trampoline. Tad loved jumping with his friends.
Liam got in on the trampoline action to. He decided to strike a pose for the camera.
Liam's hair was crazy on the trampoline.

Liam's Birthday Card

Here are a couple of cute photos I took of Liam for his birthday card. The crown started on with Tad's first birthday, so I thought I would continue the tradition with Liam.

Playdate With Friends

In late March we went to play with our friends Jase and Shae. Tad is just 2 days older that Shae. She was born the day we left the hospital. Tad loves all their cool toys. Little Liam is patiently waiting in his carseat to leave.

Grace's Birthday and Cookout

On March 21, our friend Grace turned 3! She had a nice birthday party at the park and even Tinkerbell showed up for the festivities. Tad kept taking the decorations out of the ground, but he was having a good time. Poor Liam just sat in his stroller.

Later that night we went to the Hodge's for a cookout. Tad had a great time in the backyard playing in a bucket of water. Next to him are his friends Ryan and Bella.
Tad loved riding the Barbie Jeep, but was having a difficult time with driving. Let's hope he gets better in the next 13 years!!

Tad's Snacktime

First off, I swear I watch my kids at all times! Tad found the container of puffs and decided the best place to empty them was on the toilet lid. I tried to get a picture of him eating off the toilet, but he took off. Of course after the picture I threw away all the puffs. If only he knew how gross that was!!

MOMS Playgroup

We started to have some really nice days in early March, so the MOMS group at the church had a playgroup at the playground.
Cyndi is teaching Tad and Braden about a ladybug. Tad's obsession with ladybugs began on this day. After the ladybug flew off, he was walking around the playground yelling "Ladybug - where Ladybug." He was so excited when he found another ladybug.

Winter Storm 2009

At the end of February, we actually had a little snow fall. It snowed for several hours on a Sunday morning, and was mostly gone by the afternoon.
The Tad's making a snowball.

Liam wanted to figure out what all that white stuff was all over everything.

Keeping Liam warm. We aren't equipped with heavy jackets.

Molly got in on the action too!

Tad Turns 2!

It's hard to believe you are 2! You have brought us a lot of joy over the past 2 years. You are a very happy boy. You giggle a lot and I think may have a little of your daddy's goofiness in you. You like to be outside and run. We don't see you sitting down too much, which is good most of the time, but can be exhausting. You are a very determined little fellow which can lead to a little frustration as there are many things you are just not quite big enough for yet. I hope your determination will continue on though as I think it will pay off in the long run. Eating has been a little challenging with you as you still like to eat baby food. You at least eat crackers and peanut butter sandwiches which you can bring to school. You love milk and we do have to limit you some on that as I think you would have that as your sole nourishment if you had it your way. Cars, trucks and construction equipment are some of your favorite things. You also like animals. We are excited to see what the next year brings.

A picture of you on February 21.
We had your birthday on Sunday, February 22. We decided to just have a family birthday party.
Mommy made your cake from scratch. Another year and still you did not try your birthday cake. Sigh.
The brothers.

The Messes they Make

One big thing about having young children around that are learning to eat is they can make a big mess. Having a dog does help with the clean up, but I feel like I still clean up a lot of food throughout the day.

On this morning I was in the kitchen getting Little Tad's breakfast ready and he decided to go ahead and help Liam with the cheerios. A few made it on the tray, but many were on the couch and the floor.
Another morning Tad was watching a Baby Einstein video while Liam was napping. I left the basement for a few minutes and when I came back he had discovered the Sun Chips bag that was left on the table from the night before and thought well why not.

Tad and Some More Ladies

Here is just a cute photo of Tad eating a snack with his friends Lilli and Miriam at Miriam's house. He really likes to wear necklaces. I guess that is a kickback from the many days he spent at The Vanity.

Tad and His Megablocks

Tad has always played with his Megablocks, but it wasn't until February that he began to really sit down and try to build things. He still gets frustrated with them from time to time, but he seems to be taking the time to figure things out more than just throw them around.

My Valentines

Featuring the Lovasaurus on Valentine's Day!
Liam and Daddy were my Valentine's too!

Tad Loves Fish

Tad loves looking at fish at the McWane Center. I wish he liked to eat fish too, but Tad's eating issues is a whole other topic. That day we went to the McWane Center with the church's MOMS group and had a fun time as usual.

Tad Rocking and Liam Standing

Our friends The Tabors had the band over one night to practice. I brought the kids along for dinner at their house before practice. Tad loved all the musical instruments. He was a little nervous at first when the band started to play, but then started dancing with the music.
Liam had fun exploring the basement. He started pulling up on things around 9 months. That is Jase leaping over the couch.

Kitchen Cabinet

We decided the make one kitchen cabinet "the kids cabinet." We started the cabinet when Tad began crawling around, and now Liam is enjoying the cabinet too. Well, currently our kitchen is gutted, so I guess we will have to figure out a new cabinet for the boys to play in. It definitely kept them entertained for awhile when I was cooking.

The Zoo Crew

It is hard to believe how many babies there are between our friends. It is nice that we all have children that are close in age. Here is a shot of "the zoo crew." We were at the Birmingham Zoo with my high school friends Brooke, Michelle and Sarah.

2 Boys in a Pink Tub

Well, I have lots to catch up on, so here goes a series of new posts. Liam and Tad are now taking their baths together, which makes it easier on us. I think they have more fun too. Here's a pic of them getting ready for the tub. Yes, I blurred out their rears since this is posted on the net. That is a sign of the times, or maybe I am just too much of a nervous nelly.Yes, we have a pink tub. Our house was built in the 60's, so I am sure it was high class at the time. Sorry boys, you'll just have to make due with the pink tub. Tad has actually learned most of his letters from the foam letters in the bathtub.

Of course here is the cute classic baby with a towel on their head.

Farewell Miss Tag Our Friend - You Will Be Missed

Well the past few days have been a little sad around the Boryczka house. Miss Tag over the last few weeks had really started to slow down, not eat and loose weight. We took her to the vet on Tuesday night and they decided to keep her over night hooked up to an IV because they were afraid she was dehydrated. She stayed another night and got progressively worse. Her blood work looked terrible. We got the phone call this morning that she had blood around her mouth and looked like she may have had seizure activity over night. The vet recommended that we put her to sleep as there really wasn't anything they could do for her. As much as we loved her, we knew that was best for her. So this morning, our sweet little dog fell asleep and went to doggie heaven.

The hardest part has been all the memories that have been flooding back to us. She was our first pet as a married couple, and we got her from the Birmingham Race Course in 2000. The next day we adopted a sister for her - Molly the mutt. I guess the weird thing is that it has always been Molly and Miss Tag together. They always sleep in the bay window in the living room on their beds and it is sad to see one bed empty. I just hope Molly doesn't get too lonely.

We have an area along our back fence with a lot of overgrown bushes and Miss Tag would hang out in there a lot. We called it "Miss Tag's Jungle." She loved to run around our above ground pool, but only a few laps and then it was time to rest again. She traveled a lot with us. She has been to the beach several times - St. George being her favorite as she got to get off her leash and run. She traveled by car all the way to Massachusetts on Christmas and loved every minute of the ride. She use to get really excited when you said the word "Frosty." I have no idea how we discovered that?

Most importantly she was a good friend. She never judged and was always happy to see you. Our house seems a little empty here today without our sweet girl. Thanks for all the happy memories and we will miss you dearly!!

New Year's

Our regular New Year's crew is swarming with babies and tots, so we thought it best to just hang out at someone's house. The kiddies could sleep while we tried to relive our wild days. Brooke and Jon were nice enough to invite us to their new home in the ATL. We also got to meet their new baby Roland and of course visit with his big brother Quinn. Earlier in the night it looked like Tad had everything under control with the kids, so we almost left him to babysit.
Here is the crew after the kiddies went to bed. We were missing one lovely lady Sarah in the picture. Wes and Sarah were kid free that night as they left Anna and Noah at the grandparent's house.
The next morning it was back to business as usual getting everyone fed and happy.

Liam's Patriot's Gear

Aunt Ali and Uncle Brian gave Liam some sweet Patriot's gear for Christmas. He sported it for the game on December 28.
