Breakfast With Santa

On Thursday, Little Tad's school hosted a breakfast with Santa. Tad was even able to come join us for breakfast.
Tad once again didn't trust Santa, so we all ended up in the picture.
Liam was brave enough to sit alone with Santa. We couldn't really get him to look at the camera since he was distracted by Santa's beard.
Tad made a shirt at school to wear to the breakfast. It is a reindeer from his footprint and two handprints. The reindeer did have eyeballs, but someone pulled them off.

New Playhouse

After months of searching for a used playhouse, we finally bought one from an ad in the paper. It wasn't as big as I wanted, but I figured I better nab it since these things are so hot. I wasn't up to paying full price, so we'll take what we can get.
I also found a slide for free on the side of the road so I loaded that on up for the backyard. We also have another climber/slide combo and a swing for Tad, so he is having lots of fun in the backyard!!

Zoolight Safari

This past weekend we met some friends at Zoolight Safari. They decorate the zoo with tons of holiday lights and have different activities for the kids.

Tad is not keen on forced pictures lately. Yes, his hands are painfully red because he refuses to wear mittens or allow a blanket to be put over his hands.
Sometimes Christmas trees are used for different purposes - yummy..........
Afterwards we did some fine dining at Wendy's, and Tad gave his friend Anna a hug before we left. Yes, the days of waiting in nicer restaurants are over for now.

Birthday Party and Playing Together

A cute thing at Tad's age is they start making friends. It is cute when his little friends come up and say "Hey Tad and Hey Mrs. Erin." So one of his classmates Miriam invited him to her 2nd birthday party. It only took an area with lots of balls to win him.
This is just a cute picture of Tad and Liam playing together. It is neat to see them interacting more and more.

Santa!!

Last week we went to see Santa with our dear friend Lisa Freeman. She worked in our store, and has become a great friend. She treated us to a day at the Galleria complete with a visit to Santa, a ride on the carousel, lunch and picking out a toy at the toy store. We started with a picture with Santa. Tad didn't like Santa last year and that didn't change this year. So I ended up in the picture to keep the peace. Santa actually hid behind the bench and when we were all settled he got the go ahead to stand up. Tad had no idea that Santa was right behind him. At least you can still fool them at this age. However I did feel a little bad after seeing the kids in front of us and behind us screaming about sitting in Santa's lap. The things we make our kids do, but guess what - we'll do it again next year.
This was also the first time Tad and Liam rode a carousel. Tad would not get on the reindeer so I had to hold him. I am sure next year I probably won't be able to get him off of it. Lisa is on the left side of the picture holding Liam in the sleigh.

At the toy store we picked out a tool set for him since he is always trying to help his dad out with our home projects.

Liam's On The Move

Liam has been practicing for several weeks, but he has truly mastered the skill of crawling. It goes to show how every child is different because Tad didn't even try to start crawling for another 3 months. However he has Liam beat in the walker category. Poor Liam just doesn't get the idea of the walker. Tad was flying around our house in his walker and would even look over his shoulder to back up. Here's some pictures of Liam crawling.
