Thanksgiving at The Kings

This year we had Thanksgiving lunch and dinner at my parent's house. This was Liam's first Thanksgiving, but he wasn't big enough to dine on any Thanksgiving treats yet. Tad is big enough, but he is not an adventurous eater. My sister's inlaws family also joined us so we had a full house.
Tad played on the computer with big bird after lunch.

On Saturday we watched the Alabama/Auburn football game with family. Liam was beat after the game and took a little nap. Roll Tide!!

A Tribute to the Camry

This past week we sold the '93 Camry with about 186k for the grand sum of $1250. At least it was a little portion to compensate for the new Yukon. Tad and I were reminiscing about the old gal. Tad bought her in 1998 in Massachusetts. Tad's parents drove her south while Tad and I drove my car back from college in Vermont in '99. She was the "good car" for awhile until we bought the Montero. We never had many problems out of her except the persistent oil leak. However several quarts of oil added over 5 years was a lot cheaper than the $900 oil leak fix. A mechanic bought her, so I am sure she will be well cared for. Here's to you Camry! You served us well!!

Girlfriends and the McWane Center

The days that Tad is not is school we always try to go somewhere. Some days it is just the grocery store, but we have a membership to the McWane Center which is a science museum for kids. Last week we went with our friend Sarah and her daughter Julia. Tad and Julia loved looking at the train exhibit.

They have an area that is called "Just Mice Size" that is all fenced in and is only for children in kindergarten and under. The have a water table for the kids to play in, with toys and a little waterfall. On Monday we went back to the McWane Center with Tad's friend Anna and her mom Sarah. Tad didn't have school this week for Thanksgiving break. She introduced Tad to the sand table. He played for awhile but does not concentrate on one activity for long periods of time. Thank goodness for this double stroller that our friends bought when we had Liam. It is huge, but it has been a lifesaver!!
